Bonneville LSR (Land Speed Record)

Imagine you are the proud owner of a Ferrari 500 Superfast and an aficionado of land speed record racing. If you had unlimited recources, would you convert the precious concours Ferrari into such a speed machine and go chasing a speed record at the Bonneville salt flats? Or would you copy the body panels, drape them over a tube frame chasis and enter the competition in another class? Whichever way you would go – I’d love to see the car in action. I deleted the bumpers, smoothed the body and added vents to help with heat extraction from the engine. Maximum lowering ensures better aerodynamics and the obligatory moon discs have been fitted. The rendering pictured here shows the vehicle parked in front of a building in Tokyo, Japan.  So… would you cry sacrilege or are you as mad as me and would really enjoy doing this?
