All previous photoshop chops I created started with finding a picture of a vehicle I wanted to modify or a request from somebody. This one however is different, as I found the background image first while driving around Gozo Island in a rental car back in 2017. Love the dramatic contrast between warm yellow stone walls and dark blue storm clouds on the horizon. The composition and light struck me and deep inside I knew that it would be needed at some point in the future. This day eventually came along when I found a picture of a half-restored Austin Healey 100 in a matching color. As you may have already spotted, the roadster is not quite original. It has been lowered substantially over a set of racing wheels from the 1980’s and the rear fenders have been rolled to accomodate the wide racing slicks. A more artsy approach where the car isn’t the main focus but part of the composition.
