My first contact with the Allanté came in the form of a 1:64 scale Matchbox toy as a kid. This item was silver with a red interior and a red stripe on the lower cladding. It shaped the image in my head. Stance was great, detailing really nice and only later did I learn about the insane logistics necessary to build it. Young me was very impressed with the Boeing 747 Cargo transporting them exclusively across the Atlantic.

Imagine my disappointment when I spotted a real one while living in the USA as a 21 year old. Horribly high stance, tires too skinny and an ugly wart for a third brake light. Ugh! Thanks to Adobe Photoshop, this can be remedied now. All it really needs is a healthy dose of lowering, an inch or two more in wheel diameter and different backspacing to sit right. While at it, I removed the ugly third brake light. They could have included the CHMSL into the red strip above the license plate. Eagle eyed readers may have spotted the modified door handle, which I relocated and trimmed. It sits better with the horizontal line now and protrudes less.

They should have used the Corvette C4 chassis as a base but probably didn’t because ingress and egress are hampered by the high sills, not fitting for a luxury car. But they could have at least used the drivetrain components. An RWD Allanté would be something desirable now
